Concussion Awareness and Protocol for Coaches

What is a Concussion?

A concussion is a type of traumatic brain injury caused by a bump, blow, or jolt to the head, a hit to the body that causes the head/brain to move quickly back and forth. This movement can cause the brain to bounce or twist in the skull, creating chemical changes, stretching and/or damaging the brain cells. KSA takes concussion protocol seriously. Our coaches and parents should too!
